Manchester United at the World Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo: Hero to Villian

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtably one of the best players to wear the United shirt but over the past few weeks his name has filled the news and for all the wrong reasons. Ronaldo unpredictably had an interview with the controversial Piers Morgan, instigating that Manchester United treated him wrongly and that some of the players and managers had no respect for him so he replicated that in return. From my personal opinion this was the wrong way to go about things, to try and tarnish the club that made him who he is was completely wrong. The young player that came to club on the 12th of August 2003, leaving for the Spanish superstars Madrid in 2009 and later re-joining Manchester United after a couple seasons in Juventus. Many Manchester United were absolutely over the moon but after recent events are left with a sour taste in their mouth from their main man.

After everything this man has done for the club, he leaves a bitter-sweet memory of highs and lows within the walls of Old Trafford winning everything at a club level top goal scorer in the FA Cup, Premier League Top Scorer (31 goals), a Ballon D'or with Man Utd, a champions league, 3 Premier Leagues, Fa Cup among a variety of other achievements. He will go down in history as one of the best players in the of football, but this is a very sad way for a great like him to bow out.  As of recent news Ronaldo's contract has been rightly terminated and a court case may be on the horizon due to defamation.
